SCRIPT FOR SCHOOLS RESIDENCIES

"Matt and Jenna had the children engaged from the very beginning. Using fun activities, energy and enthusiasm the children were given the necessary skills to confidently put on a performance to be proud of. A truly amazing workshop! The children completely loved having you in and it featured in most of their "Favourite parts of this year", they are still talking about it now and asking when you can come in again. So thank you for what was such a great experience for them all."

"Twas theatre came to our school and my class were lucky enough to take part in a whole day of drama. The session was fast paced (no chance of being bored!) and I witnessed my children step out of their comfort zone on numerous occasions throughout the day. Not only were they acting but also singing and dancing- finally going on to perform the play to the other two classes. Jenna and Matt were fun and enthusiastic and full of praise and encouragement throughout the day. I would certainly recommend them- in fact we are hoping that they are going to return in the Spring Term to perform some Shakespeare with all three classes. A fantastic opportunity for all the children to shine!"

"Dear Matt, Jenna, Rachel and Richard, Thank you SO much for helping us with our performance, it was so kind of you! Thanks to you, we were able to become more confident and enthusiastic in performing to large groups of people and were able to make our performance even better with your help!

You are all just the nicest, funniest, most supportive people ever and worked so well with everyone! I absolutely loved working with you and coming to the Headgate Theatre on Monday! Your ideas were so creative and fun and I thoroughly enjoyed the day!"

  - Year 8 Student, Honywood School Coggeshall

"WOW! TWAS Theatre provided such an amazing week of theatre for our children during our annual activities week in the summer term. The children not only had so much fun learning new skills and putting on a whole production in just 4 days, but they built strong social and working relationships with each other. Their performance was very well received to a full audience of family, friends and our senior leadership team at our school. The enthusiasm from the directors was infectious and the children seemed to embrace and enjoy every opportunity given to them, anything from taking on big acting roles, singing harmonies/solo lines, learning choreographed movement, tie-dying their own costumes, playing their own musical instruments....the list goes on. Thank you TWAS for everything you did, we really appreciate it and we feel very lucky to have such a innovative theatre company in Colchester which we can turn to, to inspire our children. We can't wait to have you back next year!"

"We had the pleasure of welcoming TWAS for the first time into our school to perform their current  touring production of 'Trailblazer'. The themes within the production has some interesting links to our SMSC curriculum and also helped the students understanding of current social issues within our society. Students commented on how they enjoyed the performance and made them think how they would or could react if they were in the same situation as the characters in the story. The company was completely professional at all times and did a wonderful job. We can't wait to see what they have in store next to share with our students."
